Jakarta Post

Publicly listed PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations (BSP) has obtained a loan commitment amounting to US$69 million from a group of foreign banks.

BSP president Ambono Januarindo said that the company signed the loan agreement late last week with the syndicated banks including RZB-Austria, Barclays Bank PLC., ICICI Bank Ltd., RHB Bank Ltd., and Moscow Narodny Bank Ltd.

He said Monday that the loans would be used to refinance debts restructured in 2001, and the remainder for working capital and to help finance expansion programs.
