The Hong Kong based Asiamoney magazine has given publicly
listed energy company PT Bakrie and Brothers Tbk the 2006 award for
Best Investor Relations, for its proactive moves in market promotions
and communications with shareholders.
The selection was based on a one-year survey conducted by Asiamoney,
the leading monthly capital markets magazine in Asia, of 19 big
companies throughout Indonesia.
The same survey, which was published in Asiamoney's latest edition,
also praised Bakrie and Brothers for being an Indonesian country with
good corporate governance and its outstanding efforts to promote
disclosures and transparencies.
In the latter category, the company stands in third place along with PT
Aneka Tambang after first placed Bank Mandiri and second placed PT
Astra International Tbk.
