Niaga reaches out to XL subscribers
Jakarta

Subscribers of PT Excelcomindo Pratama (XL), the country's third largest mobile phone operator, can now pay their bills and top up their mobile phone credit online via "Self-Service Terminals" (SST) provided by Bank Niaga.

The new service became effective Thursday following the signing of an agreement by Niaga's head of operations and IT, Paul S. Hasjim, and XL marketing director Nicanor V. Santiago.

Niaga has also entered into collaborative ventures with a number of other telecommunications firms, such as Telkom, Telkomsel and Indosat, and boasts 204 SST units at present. It plans to install 50 more terminals this year, said Paul.

He added that Niaga had allocated Rp 150 billion for the expansion program, along with the opening of 11 new branches and two sharia centers in Yogyakarta and Bandung.
