SHANGHAI (AFX) - The China joint venture of Canada's Manulife Financial Corp received approval to start policy sales in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, the Shanghai Daily reported.

The latest approval gives Manulife operations in 11 cities in China, the most of any foreign insurer, the newspaper said, citing a statement.

The Shaoxing unit is expected to be fully operational within the next few months.
